The history of the store goes back to 1860s, when the brothers Bloomingdale opened a shop
in New York's Lower East Side. In 1886 the store moved uptown to its current location
at 59th and Lexington Avenue. Now the store is offering exclusive merchandise,
customized services and alternative shopping venues. Clothes for men and women
by top designers, furniture and home decor collection, cosmetics and accessories
all of it can be found in Bloomingdale's.

Frederick August Otto Schwarz, namesake of the world famous toy chain, founded the business
in 1862. He operated his shop in Baltimore, Maryland until 1870 when he moved to New York
to open the Schwarz Toy Bazaar on Broadway. In 1986 the store was moved to
its current location.

Tiffany & Young, a stationery and fancy good emporium, was established in 1837 at
259 Broadway in New York City. In 1940 Tiffany moved its headquarter to its current
location on Fifth Avenue at 57th Street. The building was designed by Cross & Cross.
The store's merchandise offerings include an extensive selection of fine jewelry,
timepieces, sterling silverware, china, crystal, stationery, fragrances and accessories.
